1-The series originally was to be called “Friends Like Us’’ , and also was to be called “Six of one “. However, in the first episode, on September 22, 1994, the series aired as “Friends “.

2-Central Perk was to be called Insomnia Café.

3- Courteney Cox was invited to portray Rachel, but she requested the role for Monica, because she liked the “strong’’ character.

4- Monica and Joey were originally intended to be the main couple on the TV show.

5- The writers developed  the role of Ross for David Schwimmer. So, Schwimmer was the first actor chosen for the series.

6- All episodes Begin with "The One with...", "The One Where...", "The One At...". The creators decided that was waste of time spending a lot of time thinking about titles.

7- All the cast made a trip to Las Vegas, before the start of the series. The director James Burrows, convinced the actors to make a last trip before they became famous.

8- The apartments numbers changed in the first season. Joey and Chandler’s apartment was number 4 and Monica and Rachel’s apartment was number 5. Later the apartment numbers has changed to 19 and 20, respectively.

9- The cast demanded to receive the same pay. In the first season, each actor received $ 22.000 per episode. Three seasons later, they received $100.000 per episode. In the last season they received $ 1 million per episode recorded.

10- Lisa Kudrow was really pregnant in 1997, when she made artificial insemination to be surrogate mother for her brother, Frank.

11- In the episode “The one after Vegas” of sixth season, after Courteney Cox married David Arquette, she added Arquette in her last name. Consequently, in this episode all the actors added Arquette in their last name.
